About us

Opportunities Unlimited is an international technical consultancy with a long track record of delivering commercially sustainable development outcomes for private and public sector clients.

We were founded in 2008 by Harald Bekkers during his first consultancy assignment in Fiji. At that time, the perception was that in Fiji it was difficult to engage the private sector and stimulate economic growth. After two weeks of intensive discussions with farmers, traders, exporters, service providers and government, Harald and his team from Katalyst reached the opposite conclusion. There were “unlimited opportunities” to collaborate with the private sector to unlock inclusive growth in Fiji, provided that development support was tailored to private sector needs.

Systems perspective

We at Opportunities Unlimited believe that in every context, sustainable and scalable development outcomes can be achieved when sound development principles and practices are applied. We specialize in bringing a systems perspective to the design and delivery of private sector development programs, private sector engagement and mobilizing finance. Our mission is to ensure that our clients can successfully engage systems and change these.
